Understanding tourism development and shaping future leadership

The School of Tourism at Nanchang University examines the social dynamics and impact of cultural and tourism industries through an interdisciplinary lens. By integrating management, economics, and culture-related studies, we take a scientific approach to analyzing tourism phenomena and driving innovation.

The School focuses on two core disciplines: Tourism Management, and MICE Economics and Management. It offers a full spectrum of programs from undergraduate to professional master's degrees. Supported by five research platforms—including a national red tourism innovation base—we actively contribute to policymaking and industry transformation.

We collaborate closely with government, industry, and institutions to create resource-sharing and talent-development initiatives. Through rigorous coursework, industry placements, and innovative research, students gain deep insight into local and global tourism systems, preparing for careers in public administration, business, cultural innovation, and international engagement.

By combining research, practice, and values-based education, we enable students to think critically about sustainability and the social role of tourism. As Nanchang University advances toward world-class excellence, the School of Tourism remains committed to educating agile, forward-looking professionals ready to contribute to regional, national, and global development.
