Tianwei Kuang

(Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Dean)

Tianwei Kuang, born in October 1964 in Taihe County, Jiangxi Province,   is the Deputy Party Secretary and Dean of the School. He is a famous teacher   of tourism education in Jiangxi Province, a specialist of Jiangxi Provincial   Department of Culture and Tourism, an expert of Jiangxi standardization   assessment; a supervisor of master of business administration (MBA) and   master of tourism administration (MTA); an assessor of A-class tourist   attractions in Jiangxi Province, a star-rated assessor of tourist hotels in   Jiangxi Province; the vice president of Jiangxi Cultural Research   Association, Jiangxi Regional Culture Research Association, Jiangxi Study   Tour Research Association and Jiangxi Tourism Education Branch.

Key achievements: He is the author or editor of the Tourism   Law and Regulation, the Science of Commercial   Law, the Cultural History of the   Wei, Jin and North and South Dynasties, and the History of China's Military System, etc. He teaches courses on   tourism law, commercial law, hotel management, exhibition policy and   regulation, and Chinese military theory, etc. He has published papers in the Historical Research, the Journal of Lanzhou University, etc.,   and thus has been awarded the second prize of Outstanding Achievements in   Social sciences in Jiangxi Province. In addition, he has been successively   recognized as an excellent division-level cadre, an excellent Communist Party   member, an excellent Party worker, an excellent class teacher, an excellent   undergraduate supervisor, and Top Ten Advanced Individuals in Teaching of   Nanchang University.

Main research direction: Teaching and research of tourism business management, tourism law,   economic law, commercial law, and Chinese military history.

Wangli Zhu

(Secretary of the Party Committee)

Wangli Zhu, born in January 1979 in Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province,   is a doctor of education and the Secretary of the Party Committee of the   School. He is mainly engaged in the research of Party building and higher   education management in colleges and universities, and has obtained one   research project of Party Building in Jiangxi Colleges and Universities, one   of Educational Science Foundation of Jiangxi Province, and one of Social   Science Foundation of Jiangxi Province. He has been successively recognized   as an advanced individual in the office work of colleges and universities in   Jiangxi Province, and a special commentator of Jiangxi Education Network.   Furthermore, he has been awarded the second prize in the Second National   Television Contest of Public Science Literacy, the third prize in the   teaching contest of "Ideological   and Political Classroom of Fighting COVID-19" in Jiangxi Province, and   provincial awards for many excellent research reports.

Lin He

(Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee)

Lin He, born in   1970, with dual master degrees, national second-class psychological   consultant, Putonghua tester in Jiangxi Province, the Deputy Secretary of the   Party Committee of the School. She has been successively recognized as a   national advanced individual in midterm of the   “sixth five” plan for law popularization and education, a pacesetter for   women in Jiangxi education system, and an advanced individual in Jiangxi   education system.

Hongwei Chen

(Member of the Party Committee, Deputy Dean)

Hongwei Chen,   born in April 1969, PhD, professor, is a member of the Party Committee and the Deputy Dean of the School. The excellent Teacher in universities of Jiangxi Province, specially   appointed researcher of Policy Research Office of the People's Government of   Jiangxi Province, expert in the accreditation and evaluation of high-tech   enterprises in Jiangxi Province, expert in the expert database of humanities   and social sciences in Jiangxi Province, expert in the expert database of   science and technology in NanchangUniversity Teaching Master of Nanchang University. She is a   supervisor for master students in business management, tourism management,   cultural heritage and tourism planning, international/domestic MBA and MTA.   She worked for 15 years in a enterprise where she served as a middle and   senior manager for 8 years before transferring to Nanchang University as a   teaching and managerial staff from 2006.

Key achievements: She has successively obtained over ten key   projects of Social Science Foundation of Jiangxi Province, Educational   Science Foundation, Humanity and Social Science Foundation for Higher   Education Institutions, Teaching Reform in Jiangxi Higher Education   Institutions and other provincial projects. She has published over twenty   academic papers, including five CSSCI journal papers, and one that was   reprinted by Information Center for Social Science of Renmin University Of   China. She has published one academic monograph, edited three textbook and   co-edited one textbooks. Furthermore, she has participated in three national   projects, and presided over eight key projects entrusted by the provincial   government, eight consultation projects of governments at various levels and   three horizontal projects for enterprises. She also has presided over one   provincial first-class course, one provincial online high-quality course and   one provincial high-quality course and won one first prize for provincial   teaching achievements and two second prizes for school-level teaching   achievements. In addition, she has been awarded the Baosteel Faculty Education   Award, the Zhongxing Faculty Fellowship, and the Fairy Lake Faculty   Fellowship, etc.

Main research   direction: red tourism, tourism enterprise management, enterprise innovation   management, human resource management.

Zheng Yang

(Deputy Dean)

Zheng Yang, born in October 1975 in Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province,   PhD, associate professor, non-party personage, is the Deputy Dean of the   School. He is the supervisor of the master's programs in international   business and MTA with main research directions in consumer marketing and   exhibition economy.

Key achievements: He has presided over and completed one project of Teaching Reform in   Jiangxi Higher Education Institutions in Jiangxi Province, two of Humanity   and Social Science Foundation for Higher Education Institutions in Jiangxi   Province, and participated in two national and many provincial research   projects, and presided over and participated in many tourism planning   projects. He has published one paper in SCI journals, two in EI journals,   four in CSSCI journals, and over ten in other Chinese core journals. He is the   editor of one monograph.

Main research direction: exhibition marketing, tourism management.

Jia Wang

(Member of the Party Committee, Deputy   Dean)

Jia Wang, born   in April 1989, PhD, associate professor, is a member of the Party Committee   and the Deputy Dean of the School. She is a young and middle-aged backbone   teacher in Nanchang University, a visiting scholar of Northern Arizona   University, and a master supervisor of tourism management and MTA.

Key achievements: She has presided over two youth projects   of the National Social Science Fund of China (one of which has been   completed) and five provincial projects (four of which have been completed   and one is under research), and participated in many tourism planning   projects. She is the author of one monograph and the co-editor of one   textbook. In addition, she has published over twenty papers in Journal of Destination Marketing &   Management, Journal of Business   Economics and other domestic and foreign key journals, with one being ESI   highly cited paper. Her   countermeasure paper published in the Internal   Forum has received positive acknowledgement from provincial leaders.

Main research direction: tourism resources and environmental   capacity, regional tourism and economic development, e-commerce marketing.

Qingyong Xu

(Director of Department of Hospitality and Quality Management)

Qingyong Xu, born in August 1982 in Wucheng County, Shandong Province,   PhD, associate professor, master supervisor, visiting scholar of Nanyang   Technological University of Singapore, is the Director of Department of   Hospitality and Quality Management.

Key achievements: He has presided over four projects of Social Science Foundation of   Jiangxi Province and Natural Science Foundation of Jiangxi Province, and   participated in four projects of the National Social Science Fund of China   and the National Natural Science Foundation of China, as well as many other   provincial research projects. In addition, he has presided over and   participated in many tourism planning projects. He has published over twenty   academic papers in CSSCI, EI, CSCD and other journals. He is the author of   two monographs.

Main research direction: tourism information system, hospitality management.

Bing Hu

(Director of Department of Convention & Exhibition Economy and   Management)

Bing Hu, born in 1986, university-employed professor,   PhD, postdoctoral fellow at Oklahoma State University, master supervisor, is   the Director of Department of Convention & Exhibition Economy and   Management.

He is an ad hoc reviewer for International Journal of Hospitality   Management, International Journal   of Contemporary Hospitality Management, Journal of Hospitality and Tourism Management, Journal of Sustainable Tourism, and Tourism Tribune, etc., and a   correspondence reviewer for the National Natural Science Foundation of China.

Key achievements: He has presided over two projects of the   National Natural Science Foundation of China, one subproject of key projects   of the National Social Science Fund of China and several provincial projects.   In addition, he has published over twenty papers in Journal of Business Research, International   Journal of Contemporary Hospitality Management, Journal of Hospitality and Tourism Management, Tourism Tribune, Business Management Journal, Economic   Geography and other SSCI and CSSCI journals. He is the author of one   academic monograph.

Main research direction: tourism marketing   strategy, tourism enterprise digitalization, red tourism integration   strategy.

Ji Xiaomei

(Director of Department of Tourism Management)

Xiaomei Ji, born in November 1987 in   Fuzhou City, Fujian Province, associate professor, visiting scholar of   University of South Carolina, the Head of Discipline of Tourism   Management.

Main Achievements: She is presiding over one youth project of the National Natural   Science Foundation of China, completed four provincial and minister-level   projects, and participated in several projects related to tourism planning. In   addition to publishing over 20 pieces of high-quality academic papers in   SSCI, CSSCI, EI, CSCD and PKU core journals, she also authored two monographs,   one of which was honoured with the Outstanding Achievement Award by the   Ministry of Culture and Tourism.

Main research direction: Tourism geography, socio-cultural geography.
